Short Food Supply Chain Management

An interesting report summarising the findings of the EIP-AGRI export focus group on Innovative Short Food Supply Chain Management.

The group aimed to identify the main needs or instruments required to implement short supply chains which can increase farm incomes; highlight the factors that currently hinder scaling up and to make recommendations for solutions to the problem.

The report includes a number of case studies, providing real examples of projects from across Europe. The projects include a Scottish Farm shop, a scheme in France to facilitate access to land, an Austrian farm box and an agricultural social enterprise based in Hungary.
