Deadlines set

The deadline is fast approaching for rural businesses and community groups to express their interest in applying for funding from the Shetland LEADER Programme 2014-2020.

Expressions of interest for funding must be submitted by the 19th September. Applicants should note that their project must be in a position to submit a full draft application by the end of November as all Letters of Offer must be signed by March 2019. In addition, projects must be fully complete and able to claim their final grant payment by September 2020.

Examples of projects which have been supported so far by the Shetland LEADER Programme include Mackenzie’s Farm Shop and Café in Cunningsburgh, The Wellness Programme developed and delivered by Mind Your Head, Tresta Pier, upgrade to the road for the Whalsay Model Yacht Club and the cycle and footpath built by GAETS between Hoswick and the Stove cross roads.
